Newcastle has some of the best beaches in Australia that attract visitors from around the world. In June 2007, Nobbys Beach received a surprise guest when the frankly huge Pasha Bulker lost its battle with stormy waters and made landfall.
The tanker stayed at the beach for 25 days and drew curious crowds during its time there, including some brave surfers.
